General Field Marshal, Prince M.B.Barclay de Tolly

General Field Marshal, Prince Michail Bogdanovich Barclay de Tolly was born in 1761 and died in May of 1818. He was a very wise and talented commander. Among other Russian generals he distinguished by his open and straightforward character and courage. Many battles in that the Russian army took part were won owing to the talent and skills of this brave general. And also he played the leading role in the victory of Russia in the campaign of 1812.
